Yay!! Happy third birthday to our Church HQ, now officially known as Attic Hall!! 💕✨🎂🥂
Three years ago today Mr Attic and I got the keys to this fabulous old church that was in serious need of some TLC. We wanted to a place to call our own but we wanted character and boy did we get it with this place. Please scroll through all the photos to see the transformation ❤
It was a scary move for us as we bought the place outright but we needed stability and geez, some landlords can be utter twonks! Soooo, we found this gem around 25 miles from where we live and after 8 months of wrangling with the local planners, the place was ours!! It’s a big old hulk of a building – both parts of the building you can see on the second photo are ours. The right hand side that looks like a face is the oldest, original chapel. The larger bit was most recently used as a kind of village hall.
Needless to say the first thing we did was paint it!! I mean peach and green . . . really! As you can see from the photos – we took the stage down, restored the original flooring and painted everywhere white! The main hall is now where we store all current stock and pick and pack all your orders from.
We took out the old style village hall toilets and the large catering kitchen and made room for more storage for our stock. The room you can see on the photos full of building debris and with the ceiling hanging down, is now our beautiful studio and changing room.
We still have lots to do – there is an upstairs we haven’t even touched yet and I am deeply embarrassed by the outside every time someone comes in but we are getting there and we do now have a super pretty pink church door to try and detract from the derelict look!
